The global financial crisis, which brought about a slowdown in many leading industries in world economies, is now threatening the travel industry as well. The major tourism fair World Travel Market (WTM) that opens in London next week will aim to curb this worrying trend.
Some 6,000 participants from more than 190 countries are expected to attend the event. Israel will be represented by dozens of travel agents, heads of airline companies, hotel managers and tourism agencies' directors.
